First chapter: Here

This is a Differences in the Family Tree (DITFT) challenge with a bit of a twist.

Shades of Grey is a collaboration between catcrunchies (Piper’s Dream, Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows) and Emy (Splintered Sun, The Dream Legacy, The Lancaster Legacy). Basically, if anyone’s read A Berry Different Legacy (now discontinued) it’s a similar premise to that, only twisted (by Emy) and made darker and more serious. As if we didn’t have enough projects to do. =)

If you haven’t read ABDL, let me briefly explain…

Subject 15 has been prodded and tested by scientists since he was a mere infant, prepping him for the biggest experiment of all: life. When he is thrust out on his own, how will he survive? And what will the scientists discover?

The basic premise is that we will be running two legacies parallel to each other: that of Subject 15 and that of the son of the head scientist, who has pledged himself and his descendents to continuing his father’s work.

After the prologue, we will be alternating both chapters and generations. For example, catcrunchies will do generation one of the experiment and Emy generation one of the scientist, and then Emy will do generation two of the experiment and so on and so forth.

This is the general plan:

Experiment Scientist
Farmer Scientist
Business Business
Adventurer Heartbreaker
Sculptor Writer/Painter
Rock Star One Man Band
Family Family
Criminal PI
Politician Military
Fire Fighter Military
PI Police
Doctor Doctor
Inventor Scientist
Chef/Mixologist Ghost-Hunter
Jack of all trades Laziness

This is subject to change, of course, but this is how we see the generations going down.

Hope you enjoy it! :)
